Australia

I had the opportunity to visit my friend Danny Soto in Sydney, Australia in May. Danny is attending Hillsong college for the next 3 years majoring in music. Was blessed to be able to visit him as well as the college and Hillsong church.

While i was there, i made some friends with some of the students at Hillsong college. We were able to hang out alot since they were on their break when i was visiting. Was very encouraged to see people my age who are pursuing a 'career' in the ministry and seeking after God.

I found out that surfing is not one of my talents....thats for sure. Im sure that attempting to surf for the first time in 50 degree water doesn't help..

Overall....i was blessed to be able to go visit danny and meet his new friends, who i now consider my friends. Still cant get over God's mercy on my life. blessed. Preparing for whats next and praying that God's perfect will be done in my life....without any struggle on my part in resisting whatever it is.

I am current back at SIFAT (Lineville, Alabama) ...where this blog thing began. . . .

Guatemala

Had a great time @ Casa Bernabe in Guatemala. Got to see what David does on a weekly basis at the orphanage. This little girl puts a huge smile on my face. Probably the cutest kid i've seen in my life.

I had the opportunity to hang out with the boys that david gets to take care of on a weekly basis. Those kids are amazing. Crazy how much they listen to david and look up to him. Awesome to know that David is having an impact on all those kids.

I was able to sit through david's english classes at the school. I would enjoy learning english if i got to listen to Family Force 5 and watch America's Funniest Home Video's as well.... =)

On david's day off, we went to Antigua (about 1 hour away). Volcano in the background. Nice place.

To say that i'm encouraged and challenged to see James 1:27 actually lived out by my best friend is an understatement. I've been asking God to show me exactly where he would have me be....i know that we can choose a lot of good stuff to do in our life...but i want to choose whatever is God's BEST. Pray for me (please) that I would see where the next step is in my life. Pray for David that he would be strengthened daily and that God would use him to his maximum potential. Pray for the kids at Casa Bernabe so that they would be protected and would develop a genuine relationship with Christ.

Headed to the Casa

Everything is a go....

I leave friday morning for Casa Bernabe in Guatemala. I'm excited to see what David has to do everyday and what he has been doing there. Gonna be able to spend some time with some with my best friend and the kids he has been loving on and showing the love of Jesus.

I got the opportunity to talk about Matthew 13 (Hebrews 3:7-15, Psalm 51:17) last night. That chapter has been on my mind for the past 2 weeks. Constantly reminded that my heart needs to be receptive to what God is telling me and wants me to do. Read it. Ask God what soil you are and what you can do to be that 'fertile soil' that yields a crop 30, 50 or 100 times over.

SIFAT

Decided this past weekend that i will be blogging.

Got the awesome opportunity to hang out and serve @ SIFAT this weekend (www.sifat.org). I drove up to lineville, AL to make a promo video for SIFAT. The video will be used and sent out to 30 churches already signed up for camp. . . pumped i was able to help. (picture on top is of me and Nate, campus director @ SIFAT). Im planning on coming back here to work for 2 weeks during summer camp (first 2 weeks in june, maybe) with my good friend Angela. =)

Got some time to think about life...and whats been going on in my life and what God has been and is continuing to do. To say that I'm 'pumped' about what God is doing is an understatement.

A verse that has been standing out to me lately and something that i've been praying every morning is Psalm 16:11 which says 'You WILL fill me with joy in your presence.' I love it. God has blessed me with some crazy joy over the past month. Can't stop smiling. Can't stop thinking about how faithful and awesome God has been to me. Best part about this verse i think is the word 'will'.... meaning that it is something that God IS going to do. Love God's presence...Joy is there!

Going to Guatemala on Friday to see my best friend David who lives/works at Casa Bernabe (orphanage). miss him. gonna be good times. pics and video to come.
