Back from India.

I got home from India a couple days before Christmas.
I was unable to update my blog while i was there.

Amazing time.
Best trip to India so far.
Here are some photos from this past month.

Discipleship Training

We conducted two days of discipleship training in Toulazou Village. We had an awesome time teaching about the importance of the Word of God, Obedience and making disciples.

Railway Colony

This is a brand new church plant that is right in the middle of a hindu colony. We conducted a couple gospel meetings at night where we saw over 150+ people show up, hear the gospel message and ask for prayer.

Preaching on Sunday

I was given the opportunity to share at this church one sunday morning while in India. It was an awesome opportunity to encourage them in their walk and to study the Word of God.

Leadership Training

We had one full day of leadership training with the leaders from 2 churches (Railway Colony and Toulazou Baptist Church).

Me and the Family

THANK YOU for your continued prayer and support. Definitely would not have been able to make it to India without your help. There were very specific things that i was praying for over the past months and i believe that God has answered my prayers by giving me wisdom in those areas. I look forward to sharing 2012's plans with you (either face to face or through this blog). I ask that you please continue to pray for the youth that we worked with over the past month in India. They are growing and maturing in their faith and need our prayers and encouragement.

Oh, Canada to FUEL in California

It's been a while since i had a chance to sit down and update this thing. Here's what's been going on.

Flying over Washington D.C.

Flying over the Pentagon

I was blessed to spend a weekend in Canada leading a retreat with some amazing kids. I believe that seeds were planted this weekend (at the retreat AND at church on Sunday) that will bear MUCH fruit that will last. The theme of the retreat was Intimacy with God and Worship. Both of those thing i am continually growing and learning in. Humbled to be used by God in any way, but especially this past weekend with these amazing and talented kids. PLEASE keep the youth of Canada in your prayers. Pray for consistency in their walk with Christ.

Here is what a couple of the kids who attended said after the retreat:

'no lie, I've been reading. I started with 1 samuel...but in the first 3 chapters I've read these last 3 days I found something that help me either on what I'm doing or an attitude I should carry out still I've been praying and I've already started to see the changes in my life i dunno something kinda clicked and I got tired of people telling me about the bible I want to know it cause I read it and not cause some one interpreted it and gave me a revised version.'

'When we read the word at the retreat. I was asking God to give me the thirst and desire to read His word a lot ... Well u will be happy to know I been reading every morning now and at least 2 times a day and I try to apply it to my life and trust in him for everything an anything'

It's crazy to see the things that God will do in our life if we just pick up his word...EVERYDAY..and read it.

Here's a couple pictures with some of the kids from the retreat.

Must Do in Canada: Eat at Tim Hortons. Da Best.

Carolina and Eric. Awesome Friends and Youth Leaders at the church in Canada. They work with the youth there and are doing an awesome job.

Me with Nelson and Leticia. Awesome friends who let me stay with them while I was in Canada (before and after the retreat).

Leaving Toronto Airport for California...

This was my third opportunity to be apart of FUEL retreat in San Francisco. This year i was given the opportunity to not only help, but to also speak at 2 sessions.

Been a crazy past couple weeks. Living out of a suitcase in 5 different homes was fun. As soon as i got of the plane (both in Canada and California) i felt like i was at home. Can't say 'thank you' enough to those who let me stay with them at their houses over the past two weeks.

so now what?

India.

Will be home in New Orleans for the next three weeks preparing to go to India right after Thanksgiving. I have been in touch with my friend David in India and we are excited about being able to work together again this year. Youth Retreats. Sunday morning services. Village Ministry. Leadership Workshops. The whole 9 yards planned for the time I will be in India. Pumped. Praying and preparing. PLEASE pray with me for this upcoming trip. Pray for the youth and the people there, that their hearts would be receptive to the Gospel. Pray for me as I prepare and continue to raise support.

THANK YOU for praying and being an awesome 'co-worker'

What If...

What If I told you we were going to train to go on a missions trip for the next two weeks.

What If I told you that the mission trip was paid for...so you could get pumped up and not worry about the $$$.

What if I told you that I was going to take you somewhere where there were TONS of people who needed Christ and you could make a HUGE impact from the moment you arrived.

What if we got on a plane and flew for 20+ hours.

What if we arrived at night and went straight to a hotel so we could sleep and get ready for the next day.

What If you woke up and you were at a hotel in your hometown.

would you be disappointed? or would you understand that where you live IS a mission field and there are TONS of people who need to know Christ right where you live?

Been home for several weeks now. When i was coming home from Cambodia I was thinking about all of these 'what if' statements. Every time i get 'home', i begin to see these truths more and more clearly. There are TONS of people here in New Orleans who NEED Christ. Just cause you know people (or even some of your friends) 'go to church' doesn't mean that they know who Christ is and have a personal relationship with Him.

Man...the past several weeks since I have been home have been awesome. And i'm not just saying that. The reason that they have been awesome is because i have been blessed to be surrounded by people who need to know Christ. And I am given this awesome opportunity to not only share my faith, but to do so consistently and even begin to spend a lot of time with these awesome friends.

iTuesday has been awesome (as usual) and we have seen many new friends come through the door.

I do have plans for later this year and the next couple months, but thats not what my focus is on.
I'm beginning to get it (cause it takes me a while to see what God is saying and trying to show me).
It's the here and now and matters.
look around.
Be a missionary now. You don't have to get on a plane.

Got back from Cambodia just in time to stand in my friends wedding.
Good Times.
Good.
Times.

Final Week

Had a really good time this week teaching a class and taking some photos of the kids. I gave the kids an opportunity to be creative and we took some pictures...

Yesterday we took some of the kids to the doctor to get their shots. Wasn't the happiest moment of the day for them...

Last day at the slums was awesome. Definitely learned from the church here and know that i will be able to apply what i learned back home in New Orleans. As you look at these pictures, please pray for these children. They are Awesome.

The boys were excited to be able to go to the fights again. This time, we got the special treatment. We were put on the front row with some cushion chairs...for free. Being able to go to these fights and spend good times like this has definitely helped in building relationships.

Now for some prayer request if you would please pray with me:

My health: haven't been feeling that well the last couple days here. I believe God will take away whatever it is that is making me feel bad.

My Dad: Talked to my mom this morning. My dad was in a car accident last week (car possibly totaled, but he is OK). Yesterday he slipped at work on some ice and hit his head. He was taken to the hospital and they say he has a concussion. Please pray for my dad.

Aaron and Yessica: The family who is living here at the orphanage and will be here until December. Pray that God gives them strength the last several months they will be here.

Glory: My friends wife in India has been having some stomach pains for the past several weeks and they have consulted with different doctors who cannot find out what the problem is. She is leaving tomorrow to go to a different town in Northern India to get checked out. Please pray for her. (Glory Pou)

The next step: I have alot on my mind. Pray for God to give me wisdom on what his perfect plan for my life is.

Hope to see and talk to you soon.
Thank You for praying.
