Guatemala

Had a great time @ Casa Bernabe in Guatemala. Got to see what David does on a weekly basis at the orphanage. This little girl puts a huge smile on my face. Probably the cutest kid i've seen in my life.

I had the opportunity to hang out with the boys that david gets to take care of on a weekly basis. Those kids are amazing. Crazy how much they listen to david and look up to him. Awesome to know that David is having an impact on all those kids.

I was able to sit through david's english classes at the school. I would enjoy learning english if i got to listen to Family Force 5 and watch America's Funniest Home Video's as well.... =)

On david's day off, we went to Antigua (about 1 hour away). Volcano in the background. Nice place.

To say that i'm encouraged and challenged to see James 1:27 actually lived out by my best friend is an understatement. I've been asking God to show me exactly where he would have me be....i know that we can choose a lot of good stuff to do in our life...but i want to choose whatever is God's BEST. Pray for me (please) that I would see where the next step is in my life. Pray for David that he would be strengthened daily and that God would use him to his maximum potential. Pray for the kids at Casa Bernabe so that they would be protected and would develop a genuine relationship with Christ.

Headed to the Casa

Everything is a go....

I leave friday morning for Casa Bernabe in Guatemala. I'm excited to see what David has to do everyday and what he has been doing there. Gonna be able to spend some time with some with my best friend and the kids he has been loving on and showing the love of Jesus.

I got the opportunity to talk about Matthew 13 (Hebrews 3:7-15, Psalm 51:17) last night. That chapter has been on my mind for the past 2 weeks. Constantly reminded that my heart needs to be receptive to what God is telling me and wants me to do. Read it. Ask God what soil you are and what you can do to be that 'fertile soil' that yields a crop 30, 50 or 100 times over.
